Grants & Donations

  • Thank YouSpreading the love

The Donations and Grants Committees are composed of worker-owners elected by the Membership whose purpose is to distribute gifts, donations, and grants to selected groups and organizations.Every year the Board of Directors works with the outgoing committees to set the Donations and Grants budget for the coming year. The current Donations and Grants Committees then distribute donations and grants to recipients throughout the year.

Donations

This committee is made up of two worker-owners who elected annually by the Membership. The purpose of the Donations Committee is to administer donations to local non-profit organizations, groups and projects in our community. The Donations Committee largely provides food donations to organizations that provide on-going services to the community and one-time donations for events organized to support community groups.

Grants

There will be no grants process occurring in June 2010. The deadline for the next cycle will be September 15th, 2010.

The Grants Committee is made up of the members from the Public Relations Committee and Donations Committee. The purpose of the Grants Committee is to award and administer grants to local non-profit organizations, groups and projects. The Grants Committee prioritizes sustaining organizations that benefit our local community and whose goals are consistent with the mission of Rainbow Grocery Cooperative.
